The extremely smart people of IBM have created what the Guinness Book of World Records verifies as the smallest movie ever made! I don’t mean small as in, low-budget, but physically small! The film, “A Boy and his Atom” is made from…ATOMS! This stop-motion animated film was made using carbon atoms and moved around with a scanning tunneling microscope! I love it and think it’s super cool! What do you all think?
Brilliant!! Thank you for sharing it.
You’re welcome! It reminds me of when the PIXAR company during their beginnings when they were experimenting with computer animation.
Exactly! Simple yet powerful.
Are you an animation enthusiast as well as a movie enthusiast?
🙂 Both. You need to watch the extremes, right? From the innocent charm of animated movies to the terrifying thrills of modern cinema.
Lol, I love movies myself, but my passion is in animation!
Reblogged this on allaboutdisney.
Just the idea of being able to manipulate and move an atom is mindblowing. That they did this…is amazing.
I’d give an Honorary Oscar to them for this!
That was AMAZING!!!!!
‘Twas indeed! I hope the OSCARS recognize this with an Honorary Award or something!
