“The LEGO Movie” Builds Up To A $69 Million Weekend Debut!

Seems like LEGO is still as popular as ever! “The LEGO Movie” won the weekend US/Canada box office with a grand opening of $69 million! The film has just been getting great reviews after great reviews! I haven’t seen the film yet, but I want to, although I’m skeptical about the voice acting (that of Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks, especially).

Have you seen it? If so, how was it? If not, do you plan to see it? Lemme know in the comments!

  1. I loved this movie! The plot was adorable, but not in a bad way. I love the characters but I am a bit concerned about the consumerism (although, it is the LEGO Movie, LOL.) It was hilarious and I recommend it. I might even go see it again…if I can convince someone to go with me! 😛 I agree, celebrity voice actors I do find…irritating, occasionally, but I don’t mind if it doesn’t interfere with the story, or if they advertise it constantly.

Anyway, I am a huge fan of your blog! 😀 Do you think you will review this movie? 🙂

    1. You’re a huge fan of my blog? AWESOME 😀 ! I don’t think I’ve met you before yet, so Welcome…or Belated Welcome to the blog, lol!

I honestly don’t care about consumerism in movies, so that doesn’t bother me at all.

I definitely plan to see this when it comes to DVD. And if I do, then I’ll review it.

I take it you believe this film will be nominated for “Best Animated Feature” Oscar for next year?

      1. Yeah! I happened to find it the other day and I’ve been reading. That previous post was actually me, lol, but I figured out how to make an account without making a blog, I think.

I am definitely going to get this when it comes on DVD. Although, when I watch a movie over and over I start to think…this isn’t as funny as I remember :S 😛

Yes, I do believe it will be nominated for an Oscar. This is the only animated film I wanted to see this year (I think, anyway; I’m a huge Pixar junkie so I’m really sad there won’t be one this year 😦 ).

      2. Yeah. Sorry for any confusion.

I am too. I love Marvel, and apparently it’s going to be a Marvel film. I think it will be…interesting, but in a good way.
