Dreamworks Animation’s latest film, “Mr. Peabody & Sherman”, has opened in the #2 spot in the US/Canada weekend box office. The film, based on a popular segment of “The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show”, grossed a total of $32.5 million domestically.
I haven’t seen the film yet, but am really looking forward to see it because of the animation, the seemingly interesting plot, and the fact that Rob Minkoff (one of the directors of “The Lion King”) directed it.
Have you seen it? What did you think of it?
Goodness DreamWorks; the “sneaky badass eyes”. I heard it was good……but not great. I don’t know how big of a box office success this will be, as I don’t see it being a huge hit or a flop.
And this was my #4 most awaited film of 2014!
I’m very intrigued by this movie. I loved Mr. Peabody when I watched those old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons!
I never watched those cartoons sadly.
If you can get a hold of a copy, I highly recommend them!
Of the animated Dreamworks films (I’ve seen them all), I’d rank this at number 16 out of 28. Not great, but a fun movie with plenty of heart.
I’d love to hear your ranking of all 28 of their films!
Turns out I lied. I put it at number 17. Anyways:

20. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
19. Shrek Forever After

Wow, cool! We disagree on quite a few. I like ‘Over the Hedge’, ‘Bee Movie’, and ‘Shark Tale’, for example. And I dislike ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’, for example.
Actually, I like Bee Movie, and Over the Hedge is OK. I start disliking them at Chicken Run.
