Teaser Trailer For ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Released!

We FINALLY have our first trailer (albeit, a teaser) for The Good Dinosaur, the Pixar film that asks, “What would have happened if the asteroid didn’t destroy the dinosaurs?”.

Ok, I am SOOOOO EXCITED about this movie now! I wasn’t all that interested before, but now that I’ve seen a trailer, I can’t wait for November 25th! I love the realistic animation from the asteroids to the dinosaurs (the silhouettes in the beginning)! I love how there seems to be an adventurous/dramatic element to the film rather than just comedic!

What do you all think of the trailer? Excited for the film?

  1. I was all on board until 0:45. The dinosaurs look ridiculous. I’m a huge dinosaur fan and I was hoping for some cool looking dinosaurs, but they look worse than the dinosaur in Meet the Robinsons. But the environment looks fantastic. So I feel sort of “meh” now, sadly.

  2. I think the movie looks very interesting. The problem is, I can’t really form an opinion about it yet. The trailer shows very little. However, I think that is the point of the trailer: you are supposed to wonder about what its really about.

I will definitely look forward to further developments.

Trailer for Good Dinosaur came out and as my opinion is the same as frequent commenter Mark I figured I’d just share his post. I’m really excited! I think it looks different than anything Pixar has done before and an interesting mixture of realism and the kind of visuals we got in the first Ice Age movies. It looks exciting and certainly far removed from the Disney turkey Dinosaur. It’s hard to tell a ton from a teaser but it has successfully teased me. Wahoo!

  4. This must be the year of the dinosaur, since Jurassic World debuts next month! I like the idea of an exploration of what could have happened.

  5. …I’m still not sold on this film. I just don’t like how many times the release date has been moved, plus the directorial change midway through. That’s not a good sign for a film, but I’ll keep an open mind.

The dinosaurs look a bit too cartoon-y in my opinion. They’re just a bit too smooth and brightly colored.

  6. Interesting concept… But the designs seem atrocious. I hope they purposefully downplayed for some crazy marketing strategy.

      1. Could be… But if that’s true, then I’m not sure I’m going to like the movie’s atmosphere. The dinosaurs looked rubbery to me… They could have more texture to them and still feel like they belong in a light-hearted movie. Just look at the Dinosaurs TV series (even though that is not animation). But alas, I’m passing judgment too early on…
