‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie’ Trailer Debuts!

We have finally gotten a trailer for Dreamworks Animation’s upcoming film, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie.

The film honestly doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would be. Then again, 2017 is such a weak year for animation that it doesn’t take much to make me optimistic. I quite enjoy the animation style of this film, but I do feel the story will be quite predictable. I also feel that Kevin Hart is quite mismatched for his character as it just feels odd to hear his voice come out of that character.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie features the voices of Ed Helms, Kevin Hart, Thomas Middleditch, and Nick Kroll. It will hit theaters on June 2, 2017. Do you plan to see it?

  1. I’m not even going to watch the trailer 😃.
I admit the books were somewhat enjoyable at a younger age but a movie is wrong. It just didnt feel like a very cinematic series 😁

  2. Well, seeing as how the Captain Underpants books were some of my favorite books as a little kid, I’m not sure what to think. I’ll probably wait until it comes out on DVD to check it out.

      1. The funny thing about the books for me is the sheer amount of 4th wall jokes and more surreal humor that helps make them more than just bathroom joke fodder.

  3. I remember being a fan of the book series when I was younger, but as I’ve grown older and more mature (and thus, my tastes having become more refined), I’ve come to scorn it for its overuse of scatological humor.
