In news that I’m personally upset over, the comedian/actor, Don Rickles, has passed away at the age of 90! Mr. Rickles (1926-2017) was famously known as an “insult comic”, although he personally didn’t agree with that labeling of his work. He would have fun with everyone and get people to laugh at themselves regardless of cultures, colors, etc. Everybody loved him as his “insults” were never mean-spirited, but always in good fun!
Some movies that he appeared in include Casino, Kelly’s Heroes, The Rat Race, and Run Silent Run Deep. He also did a few animated roles such as voicing the dragon, Cornwall, in Quest for Camelot,

and his iconic role as Mr. Potato Head in the Toy Story films.
I will greatly miss this man as I’m sure most others will too!
This was shocking. Even though he was so old, somehow, he seemed like one of those people who would be around forever. But at least we know he lived a long, successful life.
One of my favorite stories about him is that whenever the director Stanley Kramer would come to one of his shows, Don Rickles would heckle him: “Why wasn’t I in It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World?” (The movie, directed by Kramer’s tagline was “Everyone who’s ever been funny is in it.”)
At least, we probably won’t be getting a Toy Story 5 now.
Yeah, it did come as a shock! I think it’s because we were so used to Don Rickles outliving everyone else from his generation! But, it just goes to show we all gotta go sometime.
Yeah, it is a shame he wasn’t in that film. I feel they’ll dedicate Toy Story 4 to him.
