Animation legend, Isao Takahata, most famous for his work at Studio Ghibli (which he co-founded) has passed away at the age of 82! He shall be missed!

Out of the films Takahata-san directed, PRINCESS KAGUYA and POM POKO are my favorites.
May Osiris bless his passage…
Now that I think of it, I don’t think I’ve seen any of the films that he directed! I need to fix that right away!
I’m saddened by his loss, but ashamed to admit I haven’t taken the time to see his films yet. That may change very soon!
Yeah, I realize I haven’t seen any of the films that he’s directed either. Just goes to show how important a figure he was.
Wow, sad! I saw The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. Breathtaking.
Yeah, sad time indeed!
Nice tribute. I am still very heart-broken. I particularly liked his Grave of the Fireflies, but I guess I became a real fan after watching his other masterpiece – Only Yesterday.
Thanks! Sadly, I personally haven’t watched any of the films he directed yet! I need to change that soon.
