Once again, it’s Oscars season! Listed below are my predictions for the winners of this year’s 91st Academy Awards ceremony! Like usual, I leave the top 6 awards for the end (Best Animated Feature, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture). The nominees that I think SHOULD win will be in red, the nominees that I think WILL win will be in blue, and if they’re the same, they will be both red and blue. Enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments below!

I want that Black Panther wins best Costume design, and if Infinity War doesn’t win Special Effects, there is no justice in the world.
I don’t think a Marvel film has ever won the Oscar for Visual Effects, so that’s why I’m sticking with Ready Player One. I also think RPO is the film with the better visual effects. Heck, the entire film pretty much is based on it!
They didn’t, but the movies they lost against tended to be shoe-ins like Life of Pi and Jungle Book and naturally the Academy had to honour Planet of the Apes eventually. Marvel has been in line for the award for quite some time, and it already won with the guild. Sure, the voters of the academy might go for the Spielberg movie but Thanos has been all over the airwave and you need to be blind to not see what a technical achievement he on his own already is.
And remember, Infinity War is pretty much 90% visuals effects, too. NONE of the scenes set in space are happen in real places, and Wakanda isn’t real either. If you really think about it you realize that the majority of the movie was shot in front of a green screen.
You make valid points. Infinity War is definitely the 2nd in my mind to get the award if RPO doesn’t.
I would love it if The Favourite gets as many awards as you predict. Personally I hope it grabs best picture too but I agree that Roma is probably going to take it. Rooting for Blackkklansman and First Man to get some love also.
Thanks for reading! Let’s see how many predictions I get right, lol!
I would love to see The Favourite win best picture. It’s my second favourite film of 2018. Everything from the screenplay to the direction, the cinematography, the costume design, and acting was done amazingly. Although I do think that Roma will likely win best picture since not only does it have the same number of nominations as Roma, but it seems have to a lot more buzz than The Favourite.
I personally wouldn’t want Roma to win best picture. It’s a well made film from a technical standpoint, but I personally found it to be underwhelming and boring. I don’t think it’s a bad film, but I don’t think it’s a great film either.
Yeah, I haven’t seen either film nor intend to as they don’t seem to be anything I’d be into. But based on the current trends and whatnot, I do feel Roma will win Best Picture, but we’ll see.
I’m with the blue as I think all of the awards should be split between The Favourite and Roma.
Lol, nice! “I’m with the blue” will be my new favorite phrase, lol!
