It’s that time of year again: Oscars time! Interestingly enough, this year will be the first ceremony to feature official hosts since the 90th Academy Awards with Jimmy Kimmel. This year’s hosts will be Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes.
This year will also feature two controversial elements. One, the two most popular films (as voted for by Twitter users) will be announced during the telecast as the “Oscars Fan Favorite”. And two, eight categories (Best Animated Short, Best Documentary Short, Best Film Editing, Best Live Action Short, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Original Score, Best Production Design, and Best Sound) will not be awarded live and will instead be pre-taped an hour before the telecast.
I’m not in favor of either of these elements, but what can I do? Instead I will just move forward with my predictions for the 94th Academy Awards! The ones that I think SHOULD win will be in RED, the ones that I think WILL win will be in BLUE, and if they’re both the same, they will be both RED AND BLUE. I have left my picks for Best Animated Feature, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture for the end.
Let me know your thoughts!
