Alas, the 94th Academy Awards have ended and the biggest takeaway rom it is when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock after Chris made a joke about Jada’s hair loss. Besides that, the ceremony wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, although I really hated how they ruined the We Don’t Talk About Bruno performance (and why did they perform it anyway?).
My score this year was 16/23 which is my second-best score! In terms of animation, Encanto won Best Animated Feature and The Windshield Wiper won Best Animated Short.

The Animation Commendation 
I’m guessing they threw in the “Bruno” performance as consolation for not nominating the song. An empty gesture meant to posture towards an audience the show is losing, and not worth cutting eight of the technical awards for. Will Smith defending his wife’s honor before winning the award was awesome, though.
Yeah, I’m glad we still got to see the eight technical awards being given, but I wish it was in real-time like the rest of the show.
