Actor Peter O’Toole has died at the age of 81! Peter O’Toole (1932-2013) was an amazing actor who sadly held the record for most Academy Award acting nominations without a win. His most famous role was that of T.E. Lawrence in the epic, “Lawrence of Arabia”.
Animation fans will also know him as the voice of Anton Ego in Pixar’s “Ratatouille”
as well as the voice of Sherlock Holmes in a few animated adaptations of the “Sherlock Holmes” stories.
He shall be missed.
He truly was a talented actor and brought joy to a lot of us over the years. He will be missed …
Have a fave performance of his?
Joan Fontaine died as well.
My favorite performance of his was Man of La Mancha.
I know, so sad 😦
I didn’t realize he did the voice of Ego from Ratatouille!
Yep, he did!
Peter O’Toole, my Lawrence of Arabia, died today a year ago!Rest in peace sweet Peter O’Toole!! You were like no other! Your incredible voice, your wit, your humour and most of all your incredible talent! I never tire of watching you “make a scene come alive & breathe” Your acting was FASCINATING… MUCH MORE than Fascinating..I guess as far as I’m concerned, there really WAS no label for you OR your acting as NOBODY could handle a scene & “make it real” like you —- I miss you!!
Great tribute!
