If you thought The LEGO Batman Movie was the only theatrical LEGO movie we’d be getting this year, you thought wrong! On September 22, 2017, The LEGO Ninjago Movie will be hitting theaters. The film features the voice talents of Dave Franco, Michael Peña, Fred Armisen, Jackie Chan, Justin Theroux, Olivia Munn, etc. Check out the recently-released trailer below:
I personally find the trailer and movie to be very…….okay-ish, leaning on boring. I mean, it feels more like a direct-to-DVD kinda film, rather than a theatrical release. And having to ride the coattails of The LEGO Batman Movie, I wonder how well this film will do in the box office. Let me know what you thought in the comments below!
Yeah, I did not really feel anything for the trailer, outside of the main character needing a better wig.
I liked the ‘L-loyd’ joke as that’s how I thought it was pronounced, but besides that, nothing else interested me.
It just looks so clichéd and Lego Ninjago is probably the Lego theme that I was most enthusiastic about when it came out.
Also, is this the same team behind LEGO Batman Movie and Lego Movie, like same writers and stuff because the Batman Movie with the Lego Movie seem to be completely different to what this trailer is giving.
They’re all Warner Animation Group films and have pretty much the same producers and some of the same writers, so yeah I’d say they’re by the same team: just different directors and writers.
Awww really? My expectations are usually low so I take a lot of these at face value lol. I liked the trailer. My son loves Ninjago so we will definitely see this iA.
Maybe I’m just unfamiliar with Ninjago, in general.
Thanks for this…my seven year old is very into Ninjago and we love all the Lego movies.
I’m sure you guys will like it then. I guess I just am not familiar with Ninjago enough.
