The 94th Academy Award nominations have been announced and I’ll post my predictions soon. Until then, here are the animation-related nominees:

BEST ANIMATED SHORT FILM:
Affairs of the Art
Bestia
Boxballet
Robin Robin
The Windshield Wiper
Disney’s Encanto also scored Best Original Score and Best Original Song (Dos Oruguitas) nominations.

The Animation Commendation 
Justice Society World War II was robbed. It has Hawkman fighting a sea monster; therefore, it is objectively the best.
Nice!
I’d say the nominees were right in this category at least. I’m kind of surprised Vivo or even Wish Dragon wasn’t nominated, but Disney and Pixar tends to overshadow the other studios anyway.
I haven’t heard much accolade for Vivo and Wish Dragon nor have I seen the films yet myself to have an opinion on them.
