Pixar Releases ‘Inside Out’ Teaser Trailer!

Here it is, folks: the first teaser trailer for Pixar’s upcoming film, Inside Out:

Wow, that was one of those teasers that brings a smile to your face! I’m anxious to see a non-teaser trailer of this film though!

For those who don’t know, Inside Out is about five emotions inside of a young girl: Joy, voiced by Amy Poehler, Anger, voiced by Lewis Black, Disgust, voiced by Mindy Kaling, Fear, voiced by Bill Hader, and Sadness, voiced by Phyllis Smith. The film is due to be released on June 19, 2015.

So, are y’all excited?

  1. I am torn on this movie…on the one hand it sounds really interesting. On the other hand it keeps reminding me of Herman’s head, and that the design of “fear” is so similar to “wimp” and “anger” reminds me of “animal”, while joy is somewhat the counterpart to angle….all this makes me really nervous.

    1. Hmm…I’ve never heard of ‘Herman’s Head’ before this. Interesting!

I’m excited for the movie as I find it to be very interesting, although Disney has done this already with their ‘Reason and Emotion’ short from 1943.

  2. I am a bit worried about this film to be honest If the emotions are the main characters, than they are one dimensional, but are they gonna really develop the girl as a character?

LOL at them not using the Cars films for the trailer.

    1. They did show the ‘Cars’ films in the trailer. There’s at least one scene with Lightning McQueen.

Well, in my opinion, since the girl isn’t a character, rather she’s a location, so she will only develop through her emotions developing.

      1. But how cam emotions develop? I have to say this is the first Pixar film I am actually worried about. This could easily go into a plan gone wrong.

Oh…..I guess I am so numb to Cars that I forgot he was there.

      2. Well, emotions can develop in a way. Sadness, for example, can range from being slightly sad to suicidal depression. Anger can be from being slightly mad to raging maniacal. Fear can be from slight fear to paranoia/phobic. Joy can be merely happy to ecstatic. And Disgust has levels too.

Even if the emotions don’t develop, I’m sure Pixar will find a way to make it work. I feel the film isn’t really gonna be about developing characters, rather how to deal with and manage the emotions that will never leave you.

  3. My gut tells me this is going to be Pixar back to form. With detractors forming, I think Pixar will do everything they can to win back their audience.

  4. I have been waiting for this film for such a long time. I’ve always wanted to see a film like this, and I even thought of just making it myself! But when I saw that Pixar had that idea in mind, I couldn’t think of a better studio to pull it off!

Do you happen to know how “The Good Dinosaur” is doing? I haven’t heard much about it lately.

    1. Disney did a similar thing with their ‘Reason and Emotion’ short from 1943. Check it out; I think it’s on Youtube.

Well, we know that ‘The Good Dinosaur’ recently went through another re-haul and re-write, so there still seems to be some production problems. But other than that, it still seems to be set to be released next year.
