The latest film in the Disney Canon, Zootopia, has broken the record of getting the highest-grossing opening weekend of any film in the Disney Canon: a whopping $73 million! Not to mention, that it has nigh positive reviews all around the board!

The Animation Commendation 
I haven’t seen it because it hasn’t been released in the UK yet. Which is really frustrating because I keep on hearing great things about it and I’m trying my best to avoid spoilers.
Same. When’s it releasing in the UK?
It will be released on the 25th of March. So basically I have to wait three weeks before I can watch it. At least it’s not like Big Hero 6 where I had to wait two months after it had been released in the US.
I’ve seen it twice. It is deserving of all the praise!

Do you think Moana will have a tough time topping this film?
It could be a repeat of Good Dinosaur/Inside Out scenario where a good film gets unfairly compared to a great film. But I hope not. The 2 films will be very different so hopefully both can be appreciated and there is a bit more time than Inside Out and Good Dinosaur had
Thus far, I’ve already seen this movie twice and it is well worth the praise that it’s been receiving thus far. The first time it was released a day before the official release date in a theater with recliner seats and a bar in the lobby. The second time was last night and I brought a friend with me to see it, I would’ve brought her the first time but she was recovering from the flu. Once again, it’s defied every expectation we had from the early teasers and trailers demonstrating what Disney is capable. It has a great story with a blend of comedy, drama, neo-noir, crime investigation and one that also deals with prejudice and stereotypies, two subjects you’d hardly expect to see in a Disney movie. All the characters are likeable, they all have their moments, and some of them you can actually relate to their position. It’s beautiful animated, there’s a diverse landscape that makes up ‘Zootopia’, a couple easter eggs if you have a good eye for that sort’ve thing, and even if you may not be a Shakira fan she has a wicked song in this movie.
I highly recommend all the Disney fanatics reading this post to see this movie while it’s still in theaters right now. I don’t think it’s going to break the record ‘Frozen’ currently holds box office wise but I definitely think it’s going to be one of the best animated movies of 2016.

And now, Zootopia is ranked as the #1 highest grossed box office film so far. Not sure how long the movie will be in theaters, but there’s a slight chance it could beat Frozen’s record if it keeps making excellent progress.
I’m so glad it finally beat Frozen. I really hated that movie lol. Maybe, we can finally get tons of merchandise for zootopia and stop seeing Frozen everywhere lol. I haven’t seen the movie yet. My boyfriend and I are supposed to go see it tonight, but he’s been saying that since it came out lol. So, hopefully I can go watch it tonight. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it lol.

I didn’t like Frozen or Brave. I think part of the reason was because I didn’t see them until a year or two later after they came out, and all I heard were that these were amazing movies. So, I was very let down lol. Was it any good? lol and yes I hope so lol Thanks
