Today, we take a look through the 2016 Disney Canon film, Zootopia, to find our forgotten/minor character. For more about the film and my thoughts on it, click here.
Well, everyone’s talking about that ending! For those of you who don’t know, there was a mix-up at the end of the ceremony wherein La La Land was accidentally awarded the Best Picture title, but it was actually supposed to go to Moonlight. They later fixed the mistake, but it was still an amusing, yet embarrassing thing to witness.
Otherwise, the awards weren’t all that bad even with some surprise wins. I didn’t end up beating my score from last year however; I only got 15/24 right this year. But, it’s still my 2nd highest score in guessing the Oscars wins.
Congratulations to Disney and Pixar for winning Best Animated Feature (Zootopia), Best Animated Short (Piper), and Best Visual Effects (The Jungle Book). For a list of all the Oscars winners, click here.
It’s that time of year again: Oscars season! Like usual, I’ll be making my predictions for which 2016 films I think will win which award. The ones that I think SHOULD win will be colored RED and the ones that I think WILL win will be colored BLUE. If they happen to be the same, then I’ll color them BOTH COLORS! Like usual, I’ll leave the top 6 awards (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Animated Feature) for the end.
Last year, I had my best prediction score: 17 correct out of 24 categories! Can I beat that this year? Let’s see!
Well, the nominations for the 89th Academy Awards have been announced today. And as usual, I’ll list the animated film categories below. If you want to see a list of all the categories and their nominations, then click here.

Well, we’re nearing the awards season which means multiple awards ceremony nominations will be announced soon. One set of nominations that have already been announced is the Annies, the “Oscar for animated films”. I’ve listed the four categories that I’m most interested in below, but if you want a list of all the nominations, then click here.
When I had first heard that Disney was working on the movie that would become Zootopia, I was incredibly excited! It was going to feature anthropomorphic animals (which I love) and be part of the crime/whodunnit genre (which I also love)! When the movie was released, it received mass critical praise, made over a billion dollars in the worldwide box office, and was just adored by everyone! What did I think of the film? Let’s see!
Oh, there will be SPOILERS!
The latest film in the Disney Canon, Zootopia, has broken the record of getting the highest-grossing opening weekend of any film in the Disney Canon: a whopping $73 million! Not to mention, that it has nigh positive reviews all around the board!
Have you seen the film? What did you think of it? Is it a new classic? Let me know in the comments below!
We finally have a full-length, plot-based trailer for Disney’s upcoming film, Zootopia! And I, for one am just loving it! Every new thing I see of this movie, I get more and more excited for! The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was the naturalist club joke in the film as I know I won’t be able to watch this film with certain people who would find that inappropriate. What do you think of this trailer?
Well, it’s that time again! As the year comes to a close, it’s time to take a look at the theatrical animated films that are due for release next year. Once again, these are the animated films that have release dates (USA release dates) only! Enjoy!
