My Thoughts: ZOOTOPIA (2016)

zootopia

When I had first heard that Disney was working on the movie that would become Zootopia, I was incredibly excited! It was going to feature anthropomorphic animals (which I love) and be part of the crime/whodunnit genre (which I also love)! When the movie was released, it received mass critical praise, made over a billion dollars in the worldwide box office, and was just adored by everyone! What did I think of the film? Let’s see!

Oh, there will be SPOILERS!

Pixar-Forgotten/Minor Characters #7: Chuck and His Team

carschuck

Pixar’s Cars franchise is considered to be the worst amongst Pixar’s films. And I kinda have to agree with that statement, but it’s no way to say that I don’t like the movies. They’re not bad movies; they’re just the least best of Pixar’s bunch.

Pixar-Forgotten/Minor Characters #2: The Drummer Spider

Pixar’s next film, A Bug’s Life, has an interesting history that most people know about. For those who don’t know, it’s basically a battle between Dreamworks Animation and Pixar to release their bug-related film first.

Sadly, Dreamworks Animation's Antz emerged victorious. Just look at the victory pose on the poster.

My Thoughts: MONSTERS UNIVERSITY (2013)

Pre-Order-Monsters-University

I wasn’t too excited when I heard that a prequel to “Monsters, Inc.” was in the making. Yes, I LOVE “Monsters, Inc.” (it’s my favorite Pixar film), so I was excited to see my favorite characters return in a cinematic production. But at the same time, I didn’t want to be disappointed by them appearing in a less-than-mediocre prequel.

Anyway, I finally watched the movie. What did I think of it? Well, let’s talk about the film first. Continue reading “My Thoughts: MONSTERS UNIVERSITY (2013)”

“Monsters University” Passes!

Monsters-University banner

Pixar’s 14th animated feature, “Monsters University”, has shown itself to be an A-level movie and has opened at the #1 slot (as all the Pixar films have done) in the United States and Canada over the weekend! The prequel to “Monsters Inc.” earned a monstrous $82 million over the weekend, Pixar’s 2nd biggest opener ever (after “Toy Story 3”)! And to top it all off, the film has been receiving pretty much positive reviews!

Have you seen this movie? What did you think of it? If not, do you plan on seeing it? And if so, when? I personally haven’t seen it yet, but definitely plan to see it when it comes on DVD.
