My Thoughts: INCREDIBLES 2 (2018)

The 2004 animated Pixar film, The Incredibles, was a film that people seemed to love immensely! Many clamored for a sequel since day one! I, on the other hand, never loved The Incredibles that much. Yes, I do like it and think it’s a good film, but it was never one of my favorite Pixar films nor one that I was dying to see a sequel to.

Now THIS is a Pixar film that I’d love to see a sequel to!

Nevertheless, Pixar released a sequel, Incredibles 2 (notice the “The” is dropped), in 2018. Directed by Brad Bird, the film received overly positive reviews and made over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office! But, what did I think? Did I like this better than the first film? Read on for my review, but be warned of mild spoilers ahead!

Once again, it’s time to take a look at what next year has to offer us in terms of theatrical animation! Many of us felt that 2017 wasn’t a great year for animation (at least, not for mainstream animation), so we’re hoping that 2018 can make up for it!

Check out my list below of the upcoming theatrical animated films set for release next year! Bear in mind that these are only the animated films with verified US/Canada release dates and that any and all dates are subject to change at any time. Enjoy!

The teaser trailer for the upcoming Pixar film, The Incredibles 2, has debuted!

While it doesn’t reveal anything about the plot (as it is a teaser), it has gotten many people interested in the sequel. I personally am waiting for the first theatrical trailer to get excited.

Pixar-Forgotten/Minor Characters #6: Snug

theincrediblessnug

Pixar’s The Incredibles has quite a devoted fanbase and probably rightly so. The 2004 hit film from Pixar isn’t my favorite, but it’s a wonderfully made film. The fanbase so loved it that a sequel has even been planned by Disney/Pixar in the coming years.

For those who don’t know, The Incredibles tells the story of a family of superheros who has to go into hiding after the world doesn’t feel safe with them around.

My Thoughts: TURBO (2013)

turbo

I don’t even know how to start talking about this film.

That’s a good idea! Ok, so “Turbo” is Dreamworks Animation’s 2nd animated film of 2013 (after “The Croods”). It’s about a snail who races in the Indy 500.

“Turbo” Doesn’t Show Speed At All!

turbo-2013-poster

Well, Dreamworks Animation’s latest animated film, “Turbo” (a film about a snail who races in the Indianapolis 500), has shown itself to not be a run-away hit at all! Hmm, who’d have known? The film only grossed about $30 million in the domestic weekend box office. I myself have had NO interest in seeing this, although I’m sure I will see it when it comes to DVD. Have you seen it? If so, what did you think? If not, do you plan on seeing it?
