Having seen the animated Spider-Man television series from the 90s as well as its spiritual successor, Spider-Man: Unlimited, I feel animated Spider-Man television series can do no wrong! To further cement that opinion in me, I’ve since watched a third animated Spider-Man television series entitled The Spectacular Spider-Man.

It’s that time of year again! 2022 is coming to a close and 2023 will soon be upon us! Let’s take a look at the upcoming animated films set to be released in 2023.
Keep in mind that I’ll only be mentioning theatrical and streaming films with set (US) release dates and that I won’t be mentioning any live-action/animated hybrid films.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this list with me!
2022 already? I think we can all agree that while 2020 never seemed that it would end, 2021 just zoomed by us! Maybe it was a better year than 2020, maybe it was more of the same, but whatever the case may be, it’s nearing its end.
We hope that 2022 will be an even better year for us and hopefully we can be free of this pandemic that we’re in! Good thing we have films (animated films, in particular) to keep us occupied. Let’s take a look at the upcoming animated films set to be released in 2022.

Also because the pandemic has shown us that streaming is pretty much a reality that’s not going away anytime soon, I will be including animated films debuting on streaming services as well.

Well, the hostless 91st Academy Awards have come and went! My score this year was 14/24 which isn’t one of my better scores (Black Panther sure surprised me with the awards it won!). But, there’s always next year!
In terms of animation, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won Best Animated Feature and Bao won Best Animated Short.

We got our third animated film trailer for the week today, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
I, for one, am loving the art design and the overall Spider-Man story here! I feel this could be one of the best animated films in a while as well as one of the best Spider-Man films in a while!
Are you all excited about this film?
Once again, it’s time to take a look at what next year has to offer us in terms of theatrical animation! Many of us felt that 2017 wasn’t a great year for animation (at least, not for mainstream animation), so we’re hoping that 2018 can make up for it!

The teaser trailer for Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has debuted.
Can I just say that I LOVE the animation style of this film! It looks super stylized and unlike anything that Sony Pictures Animation has ever done before! This could be their magnum opus!
The film features the voice talents of Shameik Moore, Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali, and Brian Tyree Henry and is being directed by Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey. The film is set to swing into theaters on December 14, 2018. What do you think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to the film?
