Upcoming Animated Films in 2021

Well, 2020 was some year, huh? Not only did it affect our lives, health, politics, society, etc.; it also affected our film industry. Cinemas were closed for most of the year resulting in many theatrical films being relegated to streaming services or postponed until 2021.

We can all hope 2021 will be a better year, in every respect. To keep our spirits up, let’s take a look at the upcoming animated films set to be released in 2021. Keep in mind that I’ll only be talking about films with set release dates and that I won’t be talking about any live-action/animated hybrid films (like Tom and Jerry, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and Clifford the Big Red Dog).

My 90th Academy Awards Predictions!

Once again, it’s Oscars season! Listed below are my predictions for the winners of this year’s 90th Academy Awards ceremony! Like usual, I leave the top 6 awards for the end (Best Animated Feature, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture). The nominees that I think SHOULD win will be in red, the nominees that I think WILL win will be in blue, and if they’re the same, they will be both red and blue. What do you all think of the nominees? I’m really surprised that The LEGO Batman Movie didn’t get a nomination for Best Animated Feature whilst The Boss Baby did! Also, was Zach Galifianakis’ voicework as the Joker really THAT good to warrant a Best Voice Acting nomination? Glad to see The Breadwinner, The Big Bad Fox & Other Tales, and Dear Basketball getting love though!

‘The Boss Baby’ Trailer Debuts!

We have our first trailer for the upcoming 2017 Dreamworks Animation film, The Boss Baby.

I personally feel that this is a story that more befits a short rather than a full-length feature. I also feel that many of the voice actors don’t seem to match their characters. It was especially weird for me to hear Jimmy Kimmel’s voice coming out from the father! But, I’m still open to the film and haven’t written it off.

What do you think of the trailer and the film? It’s set to release in the US/Canada on March 31, 2017 and features the voices of Alec Baldwin, Miles Bakshi, Patton Oswalt, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, and Steve Buscemi.
