My Thoughts: SOUL (2020)

Pixar’s Soul was one of the seemingly uncountable theatrical films that had to be postponed or relegated to streaming due to COVID-19. In Soul‘s case, it was the latter. Directed by Pete Docter (Up, Inside Out), the film has gotten overwhelmingly positive reviews. What are my thoughts on Pixar’s latest? Read on to find out!

Upcoming Animated Films in 2021

Well, 2020 was some year, huh? Not only did it affect our lives, health, politics, society, etc.; it also affected our film industry. Cinemas were closed for most of the year resulting in many theatrical films being relegated to streaming services or postponed until 2021.

We can all hope 2021 will be a better year, in every respect. To keep our spirits up, let’s take a look at the upcoming animated films set to be released in 2021. Keep in mind that I’ll only be talking about films with set release dates and that I won’t be talking about any live-action/animated hybrid films (like Tom and Jerry, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and Clifford the Big Red Dog).

‘Jeopardy!’ Host Alex Trebek Dies at 80

I’m incredibly saddened to write this post, but Jeopardy! game show host, Alex Trebek, has died at the age of 80. Mr. Trebek (1940-2020) hosted the popular game show from 1984 until his death and has hosted numerous other game shows in the past. He frequently made film and TV appearances as versions of himself, with two animated appearances being the announcer in an episode of The Magic School Bus

as well as RiddleQuest host, Alex Lebeck, in an episode of Arthur.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends. He shall be deeply missed!

Hello, readers! Season 6 of my WWTBAM-Animation Edition games has sadly come to an end! Nobody made it to the million, but Sean Nasuti won the season by having the highest combined score from both rounds: 375000 pts! His prize was a $25 Amazon gift card.
