In 2018, Disney gave us a sequel that apparently people wanted to see. I was never a fan of the first Wreck-It Ralph film, so I wasn’t enthusiastic about a sequel. Nevertheless, I checked out this sequel directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston in theaters! Did I feel that Ralph Breaks the Internet was a better film than its predecessor? Read to to find out!
We finally get our first teaser trailer for Disney’s upcoming animated sequel, Frozen II! What do you think of this trailer?
I personally am loving what I’m seeing! The overall look of the film is quite distinct and I’m loving the stunning animation! I mean, those waves and cliffs look so real! I also liked the bit of the song that we heard near the end!
The characters seem to be going on a journey, but I wonder what the journey will be. Any ideas?
I still don’t want them to give Elsa a girlfriend in this film; I’d rather her remain single.
Frozen II will hit theaters in the U.S. on November 22, 2019!
In sad news, Ron Miller, the son-in-law of Walt Disney himself has passed away at the age of 85! Mr. Miller (1933-2019), originally an NFL player, was also once the president and CEO of the The Walt Disney Company (after Walt’s death). He helped bring about more experimental Disney films like Tron and The Black Cauldron and created the Touchstone Pictures banner for less family-friendly films. While his leadership during these years is criticized, his loss still hits us hard in the Disney community! He shall be missed!
Animation blogger, Paul Astell, participates in Episode 3 of this Season 5 of my Who Wants to Be a Millionaire-Animation Edition games! Does he make it to the million? Watch to find out!
I have decided to do a 5th season of my Who Wants to Be a Millionaire-Animation Edition games! It’s set to debut next week and last until the end of the year, so keep a lookout for the forthcoming games!
This is mainly for my new followers who might not already know: I have a second blog entitled My Live Action Disney Project, wherein I attempt to watch and review every theatrically released live-action Disney movie ever made. If you’re interested, please check it out by clicking here. I’ll greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
The big, sad news currently in the Disney world is that DisneyToon Studios has been shut down! For those unfamiliar with it, DisneyToon Studios was Disney’s second animation studio which produced a few theatrical films (such as A Goofy Movie, The Tigger Movie, Return to Never Land, The Jungle Book 2, the Planes films, etc.), but was more famous for producing direct-to-video films (such as the Aladdin sequels, the Beauty and the Beast sequels, the Cinderella sequels, the The Hunchback of Notre Dame sequel, the Mulan sequel, the Tinker Bell films, etc.)
In sad news, famous animator and voice actor, Bud Luckey, has passed away at the age of 83. Mr. Luckey (1934-2018) was probably best known for his work at Pixar working as a character designer for many films including Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Cars, and The Incredibles. He even directed, wrote, composed, and performed the 2004 Pixar short, Boundin’.
His voicework includes the roles of Rick Dicker in The Incredibles,
Chuckles the Clown in Toy Story 3,
and Eeyore in the 2011 Disney film, Winnie the Pooh.
He also worked on many animated segments for Sesame Street including my personal favorite, The Alligator King.
Once again, it’s Oscars season! Listed below are my predictions for the winners of this year’s 90th Academy Awards ceremony! Like usual, I leave the top 6 awards for the end (Best Animated Feature, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture). The nominees that I think SHOULD win will be in red,the nominees that I think WILL win will be in blue, and if they’re the same, they will be both red and blue. Enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments below!
