So, on the last update, the most guessed letter was “E”, so the updated puzzle is now
__ __ __ E / __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ E __ / __ __ __ __ E __ / R E __ __ E __ __
Keep guessing letters in the comments and I’ll re-update the puzzle in a couple of days with the most-guessed letter. So far, the only letters used have been “R” and “E”.
The long-awaited sequel from Illumination Entertainment, “Despicable Me 2”, has shown itself to be an instant hit! With a 5-day weekend gross of $142 million, it wouldn’t surprise me if this film outgrosses “Monsters University”! Have you seen the film? If so, what did you think of it? If not, do you plan to see it?
I’m anxiously awaiting its DVD release, although I’m still upset that Al Pacino isn’t in it anymore 😦  !
“When one thinks that I’m referring to a small yellow Minion when I say ‘Say hello to my little friend’, it’s time to quit the film!”
For those who don’t know: I have a surprise coming up in a few weeks for you all! But, you all have to guess what it is by filling in the following blanks with letters! So far, the only letter guessed has been R, so the updated puzzle is:
Well, I have a surprise to give to you readers of this blog in a few weeks! It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I think you all will enjoy it!
Oh, you want some hints, do you? Well, it’s Disney-related, of course! And…hmm…well, how about we play a guessing game to figure it out? Ok, here’s the puzzle: Continue reading “Surprise Coming Soon!”
Well, it’s time for yet ANOTHER “Top 13” list! Do celebrate!
Party pooper! Anyway, seeing as I did a “My Top 13 Animated Movies That I Don’t Like, But Everyone Else Does” list, it only makes sense to do a “My Top 13 Animated Movies That I Like, But Everyone Else Doesn’t” list!
Again, the ideas for these lists comes from Internet celebrity, Doug Walker, of “The Nostalgia Critic” fame!
Warning: He’s a bit foul-mouthed when he plays “The Nostalgia Critic”!
I know you’re excited to start reading, but like always, I have to give you a few cautionary notices first:
1) I find myself constantly going back and forth between favorites in lists. I may look back at this list in the future and wonder why my #5 was not in the #10 spot, or why my #12 was not in the #2 spot, or why my #3 was even on the list to begin with! But as of May 2013, this is my list!
2) When I say that these are films that I like, but everyone else doesn’t; who exactly are “everyone else”? Am I referring to the general public or to the critics or both? Well, in the last “Top 13” list, I took “everyone else” to mean both the general public AND the critics!
In this list however, I’m more inclined to say that “everyone else” may refer to both parties as well, but MORE towards the critics! The reason I say this is that I believe public opinion is so varied, that even a bad film can have a huge fan following! And I’m sure some of you will actually like some of the films that I’m about to list! But, these are all films that the critics are not happy about and a good chunk of the general public think are bad; and that’s the main reason why I say that “everyone else” doesn’t like these films!
3) How exactly am I ranking these movies? I’m ranking them purely on how much I like them and/or would want to re-watch. Films in the top 5 are movies that I love more and want to re-watch more than films in the 13th and 12th spots, for example!
Well, that’s about all I have to say before we venture into this “Top 13” list!
Pixar’s 14th animated feature, “Monsters University”, has shown itself to be an A-level movie and has opened at the #1 slot (as all the Pixar films have done) in the United States and Canada over the weekend! The prequel to “Monsters Inc.” earned a monstrous $82 million over the weekend, Pixar’s 2nd biggest opener ever (after “Toy Story 3”)! And to top it all off, the film has been receiving pretty much positive reviews!
Have you seen this movie? What did you think of it? If not, do you plan on seeing it? And if so, when? I personally haven’t seen it yet, but definitely plan to see it when it comes on DVD.
We approach Disney’s 44th animated feature, “Brother Bear”! Released in 2003, people were somewhat split in their reactions to this movie. Some loved the film. Others saw it as a sort of a “The Lion King” and “Ice Age” ripoff. Which party do I subscribe to? I’m with the first category of people: I really enjoyed this film! We all love Disney’s animated features: “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “Pinocchio”, “Cinderella”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Lion King”, “Tangled”, etc. I love them so much that I dedicated the bulk of my blog to a project about these animated features of the Disney Canon! So the question that people always wonder is, “What is the next animated feature in the Disney Canon going to be?”. Continue reading ““Frozen” Teaser Trailer and Images…Finally”
Wow! Just, wow! How could I have forgotten how awesome this movie was?! Wow! I wish I’d have re-watched it sooner, because it definitely would have made its way on the list of my top 13 favorite Disney Canon films!
Sorry, “Meet the Robinsons”, you’re the weakest link! Goodbye!
Ok, we’ve finally made it to “Lilo & Stitch”! When I made my list counting down the top 13 animated films that I didn’t like, but everyone else did, I put “Lilo & Stitch” on that list and pretty much all you readers didn’t like that! And of course, pretty much everyone left a comment saying that how I need to watch this film again so that I may change my mind. And I myself was actually looking forward to seeing this film again, since I’ve only seen it once before. So now that I’ve gotten around to it in my Disney Canon-Forgotten/Minor Characters Project, I’ve finally got a chance to re-watch film! So what do I think of the film now?
