In exciting news today, Disney has officially announced their new film, Wreck-It Ralph 2. The sequel will have Ralph leave his arcade home and wreck the Internet. It is set to be released on March 9, 2018 pushing Disney’s Gigantic back to November of that year.
Are you excited for this film? I actually really am even though I’m not that fond of the first film! There’s just something about Ralph wrecking the Internet that attracts me!
A new trailer for the upcoming Dreamworks Animation film, Trolls, has debuted. While the teaser trailer (that was released a few months ago) made the film seem pretty stupid, this trailer has made the film save face a bit. It’s set to be released on November 4, 2016 in the US. Are you excited for the film?
The latest Pixar film, Finding Dory, has broken the record for highest-grossing opening weekend for an animated film. Grossing $136.2 million, Finding Dory surpassed Shrek the Third‘s record of $121.6 million. Congratulations to Pixar!

A new trailer for the upcoming animated film, Storks, has debuted. I find it quite interesting and I love the animation/slapstick-ness of it!
We finally got the teaser trailer for Disney’s upcoming film, Moana, and it’s looking amazing! The animation is gorgeous, the characters (especially the pig) look awesome, and it looks like a great deal of fun! I wish we saw more characters though, but this was a joy to see after the tragedy that happened in my hometown this morning!

We’ve finally gotten a full-length trailer for the upcoming animated Illumination Entertainment film, Sing.
I’ve always been optimistic about this film and am still liking what I’m seeing. Yes, it probably won’t be an Inside Out, but I think it’s interesting enough to hold its own and is definitely a lot more intriguing than something like The Secret Life of Pets is.

The Angry Birds Movie has opened up at the #1 place in the weekend box office grossing a domestic total of $39 million. It brought the previous box-office champ, Captain America: Civil War, down to second place over the weekend.

The Rainmaker Entertainment animated film, Ratchet & Clank, has opened up in 7th place in the weekend box office. Based on the popular video game franchise of the same name, the film managed to gross $4.8 million.

In news that I’m quite excited about, actor Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast to voice the character of the Grinch in Illumination Entertainment’s upcoming animated adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Set to be released on November 17, 2017, hopefully this will be the first film adaptation of a work by Dr. Seuss to actually be good! You can find more here.
When we first got the news that Blue Sky Studios was going to tackle a theatrical film adaptation of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, we were quite frightened and protective indeed! When we heard it was going to be a CG film, that didn’t help matters much either! Finally, after months of waiting, the movie was released and generally, people liked it! It was critically acclaimed and got overall positive reviews! But, what do I think of it? Read on to find out.
