I’ve just posted my latest review (“Return to Oz”) on my other blog. You can read it here.
86th Academy Awards Review
Well, the Academy Awards are over and this year, I correctly predicted 14 winners instead of my usual 9! I feel so happy! The biggest surprise for me was “Mr. Hublot” winning Best Animated Short. I just can’t get over that!
You can see a list of winners here: http://oscar.go.com/nominees
What did you all think of the Oscars and its winners?
“Frozen” Shows No Sign Of Melting As It Passes The Billion Dollar Mark!
Yep, the beloved film, “Frozen” has accumulated a worldwide gross of over a billion dollars! It’s taken over “The Lion King” as the second highest-grossing animated film ever (not taking inflation into consideration, of course) after “Toy Story 3”. I, for one, didn’t think that this film would cross the billion dollar mark, but I’m glad it did! I feel happy that a film from the official Disney Canon has joined the ranks with the other 17 films that have made over a billion dollars worldwide!
My 86th Academy Awards Predictions!
Hello all, once again, it’s that time of year when the Oscars are only a week away and many film fanatics make their predictions about who will win. And I’m no exception, although I haven’t been all that successful. My record so far is 9 correct (out of like 30), and 30% ain’t bad, right?
So below you’ll find the list of the nominees as well as my predicted winners. The nominees that I think SHOULD win will be in red, the nominees that I think WILL win will be in blue, and if they’re the same, they’ll be both RED AND BLUE.
One last thing, I always leave the “Top 6” categories (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Animated Feature) for the end. Continue reading “My 86th Academy Awards Predictions!”
My Thoughts: SPIRITED AWAY (2001)
Wow! I mean…wow! A movie hasn’t amazed and delighted me like this movie has in years! I don’t even know where to begin in praising this movie; I don’t even know how to begin talking about this epic from Studio Ghibli. Continue reading “My Thoughts: SPIRITED AWAY (2001)”

My Thoughts: CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 (2013)
How can a film that has so much creativity going for it just end up being as worthy as breadcrumbs? Sigh…I guess you’re here for my thoughts on this film. Well continue reading, but it won’t be fun! Continue reading “My Thoughts: CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 (2013)”
“The LEGO Movie” Builds Up To A $69 Million Weekend Debut!
Seems like LEGO is still as popular as ever! “The LEGO Movie” won the weekend US/Canada box office with a grand opening of $69 million! The film has just been getting great reviews after great reviews! I haven’t seen the film yet, but I want to, although I’m skeptical about the voice acting (that of Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks, especially).
Have you seen it? If so, how was it? If not, do you plan to see it? Lemme know in the comments!

Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman Dies At 46!
Wow, this one is just as shocking as when Paul Walker died (well, maybe slightly less so)!
Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has passed away at the age of 46 due to an apparent drug overdose! Philip Seymour Hoffman (1967-2014) was known for his roles in films such as “Twister”, “The Big Lebowski”, “Patch Adams”, “Capote”, “Mission: Impossible III”, “Charlie Wilson’s War”, “Doubt”, “Moneyball”, “The Master”, and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”.
