My 95th Academy Awards Predictions!

It’s that time of year again: Oscars time!  Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the ceremony for the third time. Not to mention that this will be the first ceremony post-Will Smith slap!

Anyway, it’s time for my predictions for the 95th Academy Awards! The ones that I think SHOULD win will be in RED, the ones that I think WILL win will be in BLUE, and if they’re both the same, they will be both RED AND BLUE. I have left my picks for Best Animated FeatureBest Supporting ActorBest Supporting ActressBest ActorBest Actress, and Best Picture for the end.

My Thoughts: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD (2019)

In 2010, DreamWorks Animation released a film that would spawn a beloved franchise! Nine years later, that franchise would come to a close with the third film in the trilogy, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. Read on for my review of the film, but be warned that there will be spoilers!

‘How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ Trailer Debuts!

The fourth animated film trailer of the week has debuted, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World!

The film looks to be just as good as its predecessors to me. I’m loving the Light Fury as well as F. Murray Abraham as the villain! Gotta wait till 2019 to see this though!

What do you think of the trailer?

When How to Train Your Dragon was released in 2014, it was a huge hit! Both critics and the hoi polloi raved over it! I considered it my favorite Dreamworks Animation film at the time (later taken over by Rise of the Guardians)! So, as you can imagine, all of us (including myself) were awaiting this second installment in the trilogy.

Well, the Academy Awards are over and this year, I correctly predicted 14 winners instead of my usual 9! I feel so happy! The biggest surprise for me was “Mr. Hublot” winning Best Animated Short. I just can’t get over that!

Well, 2013 is about to come to an end, so you know what that means!

“I think it means that it’s time for us to look back on this year and see what progress we have made, learn from our mistakes, make amends for whatever wrongs we have committed, …”

No, it means that I’m going on vacation!

"Huh...that was totally not what I was thinking!"

Cate Blanchett in “Cinderella” Negotiations

Australian actress Cate Blanchett is apparently in talks to portray the evil stepmother in the Disney live-action reboot of “Cinderella.” Yes, Disney’s planning a live-action reboot of the classic 1950 film in the same manner as “Alice in Wonderland” and their upcoming “Maleficent.” The script is apparently being written by Chris Weitz.

Personally, I’m not a fan of re-imagining these animated masterpieces as live-action. I’m not saying that they’re bad; but if I had my way, I’d let Disney come up with new ideas for live-action films instead of feeding off their old hits of a different medium. Anyway, what do you think of this upcoming “Cinderella” reboot and what would your ideal casting be for it?
