Yep, the beloved film, “Frozen” has accumulated a worldwide gross of over a billion dollars! It’s taken over “The Lion King” as the second highest-grossing animated film ever (not taking inflation into consideration, of course) after “Toy Story 3”. I, for one, didn’t think that this film would cross the billion dollar mark, but I’m glad it did! I feel happy that a film from the official Disney Canon has joined the ranks with the other 17 films that have made over a billion dollars worldwide!

My 86th Academy Awards Predictions!
Hello all, once again, it’s that time of year when the Oscars are only a week away and many film fanatics make their predictions about who will win. And I’m no exception, although I haven’t been all that successful. My record so far is 9 correct (out of like 30), and 30% ain’t bad, right?
So below you’ll find the list of the nominees as well as my predicted winners. The nominees that I think SHOULD win will be in red, the nominees that I think WILL win will be in blue, and if they’re the same, they’ll be both RED AND BLUE.
One last thing, I always leave the “Top 6” categories (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Animated Feature) for the end. Continue reading “My 86th Academy Awards Predictions!”
“The LEGO Movie” Builds Up To A $69 Million Weekend Debut!
Seems like LEGO is still as popular as ever! “The LEGO Movie” won the weekend US/Canada box office with a grand opening of $69 million! The film has just been getting great reviews after great reviews! I haven’t seen the film yet, but I want to, although I’m skeptical about the voice acting (that of Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks, especially).
Have you seen it? If so, how was it? If not, do you plan to see it? Lemme know in the comments!
41st Annie Awards Results!
Well, the Annie Awards happened yesterday and I can safely say that all the predictions I made were correct (I only made 3)! “Frozen” won “Best Animated Feature”, “Get a Horse!” won “Best Animated Short Subject”, and Josh Gad won “Outstanding Achievement, Voice Acting in an Animated Feature Production”.

“The Nut Job” Finishes In 3rd…Aw, Nuts!
The first animated film of the year, “The Nut Job”, landed 3rd place in the US/Canada weekend box office. Grossing over $2o million, the film has been getting negative reviews, but may yet pass its budget of $42 million (I hope it doesn’t).
Have you seen this? If so, how was it? If not, do you plan on seeing this?
I’ll watch this when it comes to DVD, but I’m REALLY not looking forward to it!

“Frozen” Heats Up Box Office With $93 Million Weekend Debut
Disney’s much-anticipated and critically acclaimed entry in its animated Canon, “Frozen”, has proven that it DOES have the potential to be a modern classic. Opening in the 2nd place slot of the U.S./Canada box office, “Frozen” amassed a whopper $93 million, breaking the record for biggest Thanksgiving weekend debut!
